Comedy Slices #9
Remember remember this week in November, with a slice of fruity cabaret, Frankie Boyle back here to play, Comedy is stepping up this week in November.
Oh, Frankie Boyle we were all on your side. We enjoyed how you made us awkwardly squirm in our seats and through hysterical tears question whether it was actually OK to laugh at that… But you crossed a line Boyle, a line. However, Jimmy Carr never left and no one remembers that Brand/Ross saga. So, this week the previous golden boy of Mock the Week takes to the Hammersmith Apollo stage with his show The Last Days of Sodom. It is really difficult not be curious about what Boyle's going to say next. Plus the man is damn funny. Boyle, we are ready to squirm and giggle like naughty school children once again. Do your worst.
Sunday 11th November, Hammersmith Apollo, £25
Banana Cabaret. As soon as I see those two words together Barry Manilow's Copacabana runs through my head. On a loop. For a long time. It's totally fine though because when I run my eyes over the line up for this night the world is alright again. In fact better than alright with the Kiwi comedy legend Jarred Christmas, Mike Gunn, Joe Lycett and Joe Rowntree all on the bill you know you are on to a good thing at the Copa-er-Banana Cabaret.
Friday 9th November, Bedford Pub Balham , £14
