Comedy Slices #7

Art & Culture

Halloween is nigh! Have you got your outfit sorted? Are you going for a slutty American style or true horror with blood and gore? Or perhaps you are going to be that guy in this year's top bad taste outfit – jimmy savile. Too soon? Let's move on swiftly then to a slice of comedy…

First, up for your comedy taste buds is 'Nathan Dean Williams gives you… The willies.' This is part of the 13th Hour Horror Festival  a two week celebration of all things horror – films, theatre, music lectures and of course comedy taking place at Leicester Square Theatre. Well worth checking out the full list of events. My pick from the bunch, Williams's show, promises to give you the willies through 'twisted tales' 'scary sketches' and I hear there will be blood. Enough gore for you more morbid lot?

Saturday 27th, Leicester square theatre, £10

Now, when I mention Beyonce and comedy in the same sentence you may well presume that it is never going to be in favour of the bootilicious star. You'd be making massive presumptions, as Luisa Omielan's  stellar show 'what would Beyonce do?' is a celebration of the superstar with antidotes of her own life. Oh yes Beyonce songs are involved, in abundance. Give Halloween a miss for the evening and go shake ya booty.

Tuesday 30th, comedy cafe Theatre, free.
