Vivienne Westwood Hosts Anti Fracking Party

This weekend will see veteran provocateur Vivienne Westwood join the Handsome party crew for a night in aid of Westwood's anti-fracking charity Climate Revolution. Taking place at East Bloc on October 4th, the night will see DJs Maurice Faulton, Dan Beaumont, Hannah Holland, Luke Unabomber, Ben Pistor & Damon Martin, The Lovely Jon Jo and more, joined by a cast of trannies, freaks, divas and dancers, with early evening cabaret provided by BOURGEOIS & MAURICE, BLANCHE DUBOIS, NATALIE GEOGRAFIK & JOHN SIZZLE at 10pm, followed by a speech from Westwood herself at 10.30pm. There's also a Trashion show – a fashion competition with an ecological twist: make your outfit entirely from recycled materials.

Climate Revolution have the following to say:

"We’re coming together to say no to fracking. It will pollute our water, blight our landscape and produce more carbon emissions – exactly what our government has promised not to do by committing to an 80% reduction by 2050. It’s a short term fix with a big environmental and aesthetic cost to line the pocket of Big Energy and its cronies."
