HEROINES OF SOUND FESTIVAL TAKES PLACE IN BERLIN THIS DECEMBER

A 3-day event celebrating women's contribution to electronic music, past and present.

Now in its third year, Heroines of Sound Festival is a 3-day event celebrating women's contribution to the musical landscape, comprising a series of concerts, installations, performances, videos and discussion events.

Early female electronic music is presented together with female artists who are transforming and performatively interpreting electronic sound today at the highest levels of pop and electronic/classical music. By opening up new perspectives, the Heroines of Sound make the quality and variety of female artists in the area of electronic music both audible and visible.

Concerts taking place in this year's edition include the theremin goddess Dorit Chrysler, conceptual musician Lucrecia Dalt, as well as doom-folk songstress Perera Elsewhere, the multi instrumental Sofia Härdig and an experimental set from the sound artist JD Zazie. Other sound/light performances will include the installation of SHIROSHI from Miako Klein which will be presented for the first time to the public as a part of this years festival. You can check out the full lineup right here.

Heroines of Sound Festival takes place December 8-10 @ HAU2, Berlin. Tickets available here.
