Mps To Debate Banning Donald Trump From Uk This Afternoon

Commentary

Was there ever a better reason to tune into BBC Parliament? Today MPs are going to debate a motion to ban Donald Trump – he of the mental hair and batshit opinions – from entering the UK. The debate has been triggered after some half a million people signed a petition suggesting that Trump should be kept banned from the UK following his remarks suggesting he would ban Muslims from the States were he elected president, so; never.

As far as we're aware, this is the first time a debate has been triggered by a petition that most people have signed as a particularly British joke – we're going to go out on a limb and guess that most people signing the petition don't actually feel the need to ban Trump from Britain, they just want him to know that he's a mug. Tune in today and chortle at the ridiculousness of MPs debating just what level of mug that is. Still, if he continues to commission such brain frazzling bangers like the Trump Jam (see below music lovers) we're contemplating knocking up a petition asking Michael Eavis to book his Don-ness to DJ at Glastonbury 2017…

The great Trump debate takes place at 4.30pm. It's a bit silly. Watch it on BBC Parliament.
