Forest walks, secret gardens, morning bird song, the gentle current of a winding river; nature can be medicinal, and its available to all, free of charge. But, like we care for our bodies, our family, our friends and our homes, we must protect and safeguard the grass and gravel that we walk on. We must look after the squirrels and birds that roam our gardens for scraps. We must take the future of our planet seriously; it's humanity's most important job.
DJ and Rinse France resident RONI is embarking on a new journey into the label world with the launch of Nehza Records. Taking its name from the 1979 animated film 'Nezha Conquers The Dragon King' by Wang Shuchen—a story of a prince reversing the world order by defeating a dragon—which resonates with RONI personally and artistically, the label seeks to raise awareness of our connection to nature and the way we look after the planet. Tasked with kicking off proceedings is French DJ and producer Neida, who delivers a 5-track EP titled 'Slowing' that, true to RONI's love of rave, moves through jungle-inspired rhythms, euphoric breaks and bass experiments.
