Premiere: M.Ono – Santa Ana Swing

He braced his lapels sharply. Yes, this is it, he thought. Admiring his reflection, he saw a picture of health and success. The lights in hotel bathrooms had a dreadful tendency to cast a deathlike pallor across the face, and this one was no different; he momentarily broke character to remind himself he isn’t actually the colour of diluted mustard. One final splash of cold water, one final nod of encouragement, one last straightening of the tie, and he was ready. Through the gap in the door bled the din of the Santa Ana Swing, muffled and half-present, like a memory of a song from one’s childhood. To the elevator, then; the party had already begun.  

M.ono's searing 'Santa Ana Swing' is lifted from a new VA compilation, 'The Blaq Bunch Vol. 2', assembled by German label Blaq Numbers. Comprising 16 tracks, the release is available on cassette and digital from August 9th.
