The hedge was long and covered in debris after the storm. It sat tattered at the tail end of the garden amidst broken patio furniture and scattered leaves. It would require clipping back to size, much like the rest of the house and the garden. There was a dark grey sky which hung with a hollow weight upon the air, it was as if the fog had cascaded down from the heavens up above to conceal the distasterous consequences of the howling winds and wicked rain. It was moist to the touch and left a chill upon the skin.
