Premiere: Dreems – The Dolphin Communion

Patiently stood on the side of the street awaiting pickup, bags and boxes fluttered in the wind like the nerves tingling in their stomach. The van pulls up and the chariot awaits. 2009 Ford transit, alloy wheels and the smell of old Amber Leaf. Fill it to the brim with everything you own, with the ambition that a change of scenery will create success. An intense journey lay ahead, packed full of commercial radio and drive-thru stops but they’d eventually reach their new-found haven.

The next output from Lithuanian label Le Temps Perdu welcomes the return of Multi Culti’s co-captain Dreems. Sticking to the aquatic themes that he’s become synonymous with, his newest body of work Shark Water explores his previous career paths as a deep sea commander and dolphin communicator. The standout track ‘The Dolphin Communion’ delicately marries the spoken words of highly respected marine scientist John Sea Lilly with enticing grooves, diaphanous chords and punchy minimalistic drums.
