The room was pitch black, except a thin strip of light that cascaded across the bed. Each night she reshuffled its placement, steeped the room in different amounts of light and shade — whatever would help her switch off from the outside world, she would try. Right now, she was in purgatory, a sleepless limbo that forced her to tread water between reality and dreams.
Loka and the Moonshiners band member Elisa Di Riccio is making her first moves as a solo artist with the launch of her new project, APOTEK. The Italian-born, Belgium-rooted producer and keyboardist is set to release her debut long player in June, but ahead of that she's teasing several singles, including today's premiere 'Awake', all of which welcome you into her multi-dimensional and cinematic sound world.
