Acid Arab Collections EP02
The second various artist offering from the Acid Arab crew – featuring a banger from Legowelt sitting alongside work from Professor Genius and Headcore (DJ Gregory). Middle Eastern inspired machine madness. (Joe)
Four Tet – Parallel Jalebi
266,041 plays in just 3 weeks. Mr Hebden is approaching pop start status. What’s amazing is how he’s got here by making such uncomprisingly obtuse left of centre, left of centre… that’s really the only way to describe it. Parallel Jalebi is another example of this utter brilliance that happens every he touches a production. Just head and shoulders above the rest still. (Wil)
Sam Binga – AYO EP
Out on Critical Music, Sam Binga’s new EP (that comes in a pretty pink vinyl option) got me pretty excited this week. Love his style of D&B that’s pulling clear influences from grime. Really reminds me of Dub Phizix but a bit more fresh and not as dark. (Jake)
