Recently I’ve been really into this ambient, darkwave outfit from Nottingham. Beautiful organic mystical music.

  • Pep Llopis - El Vell Rei De La Serp

Great Spanish contemporary piece, recorded live in Valencia 1986. A deep bass and string driven ambient groove with spoken word vocals breaks into a soaring Reich-ish marimba piano part.

  • Zazou - Nodland - Lema - Stranger In The New Light

This beautiful Hector Zazou collab track appears only on a rare Spanish compilation.

  • Americua - Priscilla Ermel & Ara Ketu

Ermel recorded a couple of LPs in the late eighties/early nineties that fuse contemporary compositions with traditional Brazilian rhythms. Very emotional and deep music. This track is a more rhythmic outing.

  • Vox Populi! - Djamileh

This track comes from Vox Populi’s late eighties LP ‘Aither’, an ethereal mesmerising vocal track.

  • Missing Brazilians - Quicksand Beach Party

From an amazing album on the famous On-U Sound label, wicked and frantic dubbed out sounds all the way.

  • Silicon Soul - Every Idiot Knows (Pouti, 1979-1987, 2003)

Very strange vocal dubby production from NY.

  • Haruomi Hosono - Heliotherapy

    Great mid-nineties futuristic Hosono floater.
