8 Tracks: Of Sonic Influences with Perko

Based in Copenhagen but orginating from Glasgow, Fergus Jones is a producer and disc jockey who has been a murky presence amidst leftfield electronic music for several years now.
However, now a plan's afoot…
Last year marked the release of a new EP on Glasgow based label Numbers, a record label which has become synonymous with quality and innovation. A mysterious new producer revealed six tracks under the name of Perko – they were an abstract mixture of deep textures, rumbling low end and intriguing influences which drew from rave, garage, bass and beyond. It was well received. Other appearances have included a remix for Peder Mannerfelt and an appearance on Nathan Micay's edits label. We've been privately informed that there is a whole lot more around the corner to follow…
Tomorrow night Perko will play in London alongside Ally Tropical for Plant Life, we invited him to cite eight tracks which explain the process by which he is influenced by sound design and structure.

The whole video is a classic but this part is especially sick. Love all the glitchy noisy effects, and the skating itself has an almost ASMR quality.
