8 Tracks: Of Dancefloor Delight With Wolf Music

Music

Wolf Music have quickly become of of London's most interesting young labels in recent years. Since 2011 they have steadily been peddling club tracks and have released music from the likes of Medlar, Lazslo Dancehall, Casino Times and many more. They have carved their sound into the bustling diversity of London's nightlife culture and have explored the depths of club music across all spectrums. In doing so they have amassed a reputation as interesting dj's and have asserted themselves as purveyors of fine taste. This weekend they take over The Waiting Room for their party 'House Of Wolf'. More details and tickets can be found HERE

In the meantime here are there eight tracks of dancefloor delight…

Herb Alpert - Rotation

Perfect mood setter, it’s also nice and long so you can chat with those mates who come down early.

  • Eurythmics - I Did It Just The Same

For that “is he really playing the Eurythmics” moment early in the night.

  • Meikbar - Feelings

Smooth mid tempo vibes perfect for head nodding while getting the beers in.

  • Geraldine Hunt - It Doesn't Only Happen At Night

Tempo is still laid back, but there is a driving intensity to this track that prepares your crowd for the dance.

  • Telespazio-Telemetric (Arto Mwambe's Guitar Down Remix)

  • Urban Blues Project Present Michael Procter - Love Don't Live (U.B.P. Classic Mix)

I’ve relied on this record to create mad energy when I need it most for over 15 years now. It has never let me down. WHERE.DID.YOU.GO!!!

  • The Verdict - That's Where I Come In

Modern soul stepper for those end of night feelings.

  • Buddy Miles - Pull Yourself Together

I like to finish the night with a selection of morning music, and this was a firm favourite at the legendary Flamingo Club NYC in the mid-70s. Now all these years on & it still sounds perfect to me. Bitter-sweet soul to end the night in fine form.
