Toronto-focused compilation ‘Forth Vol. 2’ to drop next month
There's more to Toronto's musical complexion than Drake's soft rap and the ecclectic electronics of Crystal Castles. FORTH, a collective consisting of local promoters and DJs, have been throwing parties across the city's clubscape for over two years now, combining international talent such as Avalon Emerson and DJ Stingray with selectors from the Six. Having launched a label to coincide with the party series in February last year, Forth Vol.2 is set to be released on the 12th February. Following on from the first edition, the latest compilation EP features bass-heavy breaks from Aquarian, acidic EBM from Basic Soul Unit, City Dance Corporation's hypnotic techno, a moody percussion workout by E-Saggila and TYVYT-IYTYI's slow-mo sonics. Only 300 copies are to be released physically, though a digital download is also available.
