The Pop Group To Reissue Classic 2nd Lp, & Make Available On Digital
The Pop Group are set to reissue their second record, the iconic 1980 album For How Much Longer Will We Tolerate Mass Murder. Long unavailable, the album is now set to be reissued on vinyl, and – for the first time – CD and digital. The reissue will also include classic single We Arer All Prostitutes, recorded and intended for the album but for some reason omitted in the original release.
A fusion of jazz, disco, funk, nerve flaying guitar and acidic lyrics dealing with anti-war and anti-imperialist themes For How Much Longer… remains relevant as ever today. The band write, "In this time of proxy wars and false flag attacks as worlds collide now, more than ever is the time to say again 'For How Much Longer Do We Tolerate Mass Murder?'"
Physical formats are released through Freaks R Us on Friday 19th February 2016, and come accompanied with a series of art prints. In the meantime, the band are running a pledge campaign offering fans the chance to grab some memorabilia through their facebook page.
