The Jesus And Mary Chain To Release New Lp In March 2017

The co-founder of The Jesus and Mary Chain's former label Creation Records, Alan McGee, has announced in an interview with CBC Music that the band are set to release a new LP in March 2017. This follows an earlier live album, Live At Barrowlands and the band's Jim Reid hinting they were working on new material.

The LP marks the band's first release since 1998's Munki. In 2014 and 2015 the band performed a number of shows marking the 30th anniversary of their debut, Psychocandy.
