Sleaford Mods Film And Q&A Session Showing In Hackney
'Sleaford Mods – Invisible Britain' will be showing at Hackney Picturehouse in May, with a Q&A session taking place after with the director Paul Sng. The film shows one of the most exciting and uncompromising British bands in years sticking two fingers up to the zeitgeist and articulating the rage and desperation of those without a voice in austerity Britain. It follows Sleaford Mods on a tour of the UK in the run up to the 2015 General Election, visiting the neglected, broken down and boarded up parts of the country that many would prefer to ignore. Part band doc, part look at the state of the nation, the documentary features individuals and communities attempting to find hope among the ruins, against a blistering soundtrack provided by Sleaford Mods.
Sleaford Mods – Invisible Britain is showing at Hackney Picturehouse, London on 19th May 2016. Full info and tickets can be found HERE. The band are also part of the line-up for Field Day 2016 on Saturday 11th June. Full info and tickets for the festival can be found HERE.
