The next instalment on Timothy Clerkin's Insult To Injury imprint comes courtesy of Japanese producer Shun; an EP entitled Dreamland indebted to his love of acid, rave and electro.
Having previously appeared on our Ransom Note sub-label with a remix contribution for Type-303's New Ravelution EP, he returns for his first full length EP, which comes complete with a remix from Italian DJ and production duo Younger Than Me, who have regularly appeared on labels like 90s Wax and Bordello A Parigi.
Shun has been a DJ on the Tokyo scene for over 10 years, and although relatively new to production, his efforts have already landed on Osaka's DPRB and Arnaud Rebotini's Black Strope imprint. Dreamland sees him take production to new levels as across the three original tracks he works with pounding 808s and thumping drum machines, that in moments come saturated with acid bleeps and orchestral strings.
