Ripped In Glasgow – Kraftwerk @ the Tate Special

Music

Dearie me, what a 24 hours here at RiG Towers.  Got hold of 3 full Kraftwerk live recordings from the Tate – Autobahn, Trans Europe Express and Tour De France from Dimeadozen (shhh!).  Have been listening to the FLACs and the quality is dynamite.  Fuck I wish I’d been there.  Hadn’t realised how much other stuff they’d be playing each night, deliberately didn’t look up the Dusseldorf tracklistings as I was still holding out hope for that phone call to say someone had got me a ticket.  Oh well (not jealous at all, Mr R$N) Anyway – have converted the lot to 320 mp3 and have tagged all the tracks and you’ve got the option of either format:

Apart from all that excitement, I’d recommend checking out Belfast band Girls Names – JD Twitch remix of The New Life and ace mix tape off Russian Radio show – check the tracklisting:

Edinburgh favourite Kris Wasabi of has done a mix of what he plays in the first hour of the club – recommended, as is this new Richard Fearless mix for Costume National.

Video-wise you could do a lot worse than have a swatch at mental NSFW Sebastian Tellier

Remember when Underworld used to be “The Experimental Sound Field feat. The Super Peace Brothers”?  Me neither, but I was at Glasto 1992 where this recording was made.

Also from that same Glastonbury, Friday night pre-Primal Scream entertainment on the NME Stage, The Orb.

Phew!  Plenty to be getting on with there.  If anyone wants to join the Ripped In Glasgow Facebook Group then send an email to rippedinglasgow@gmail.com and I’ll sort you out.  Adios, amigos
