Psyche – Goodbye Horses

Music

Goodbye Horses was originally released by female vocalist Q Lazzarus in 1988. The song found fame after being used for a particularly odd scene during the film 'Silence of the Lambs'.

This, relatively faithful, version is recorded by Canadian synth-pop band Psyche and has found some considerable popularity across the gothic clubs of europe. It's now getting a deserved reissue from Optimo Music (including the anthemic 'Prisoner To Desire') which brought the house down at their recent Fred Perry Subculture appearance.

JD Twitch explains: "‘Goodbye Horses’ by Q Lazzarus was one of the most popular songs and became an anthem at our weekly Optimo nights in Glasgow. It was only in the last year that I heard Psyche's version and fell head over heels for it. The idea started formulating to approach Psyche about putting it on a 12", and when I finally did, we struck up an instant rapport which resulted in me choosing four of my favourite tracks from their repertoire to comprise an EP I'm immensely proud to be releasing."
