minimal wave announce next release : Bruta non calculant

Veronica Vasicka’s sublimely curated label, Minimal Wave, have announced that their outlet for contemporary talent, Cititrax, will release a new project by Alexandre Gand and Victor-Yann come February 11th.
Somewhat of a many-aliased veteran having recorded under Le Syndicat Electronique and a host of other guises, Gand resumes Bruta Non Calculant following last years self-titled EP on Disorder Records.
Brother, Victor-Yann, of De Frontanel, completes the duo, who’s own previous ventures include graphic art, research into parapsychology and the institution of a rest home for circus freaks where ‘grotesque theatrical performances’ are held. With both brothers exhibiting an interest in the macabre and esoteric, its one for those of a darker disposition.
Previews of the 10 track LP reveal a synthetic, leaden gloom which will be familiar to devotees of 80s era Mute and 4AD, but appealing to those desiring new inflections and flourishes.
