Jeff Mills Awarded Medal From France’s ‘Order Of Arts And Letters’

Detroit techno legend and pioneer, Jeff Mills, was made an Officer of France's 'Order of Arts and Letters' (or 'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres') in a private ceremony in Paris on Friday.

The award is the second-highest honor that an artist can receive for making a significant contribution to the arts and culture of the country. Mills was previously decorated as a Knight back in 2007.

Others previously awarded the Officer's medal include; Elton John, Tim Burton, and Van Morrison.
