Bandcamp To Donate All Proceeds To Aclu This Friday

In response to Donald Trump’s executive order banning citizens and refugees from seven mainly muslim countries from entering the United States, Bandcamp have announced that they will donate 100% of their share of the proceeds of any purchase made on the site to the American Civil Liberties Union. The founder/CEO Ethan Diamond said in a statement “We at Bandcamp oppose the ban wholeheartedly, and extend our support to those whose lives have been upended”. Alongside the statement published on the Bandcamp website they have also compiled a playlist of albums from musicians from the affected countries.

Since the election countless artists across the musical spectrum have decried Trump and his policies, with notable examples such as Rihanna and Grimes showing their support for those affected.
