Insomnia Music With EOD

Tossing and turning beneath a starry sky, for some sleep is simply not an option whilst others simply relish during the darkness. Night time can offer a pensive atmosphere for self reflection and creativity and often there lies an overlap between the two. Some sounds affiliate themself more effectively with the darkness and the black and it is here that we seek the opportunity to showcase such music.

EOD is the moniker of Stian Gjevik, a singular producer who has been involved in electronic and experimental music for many years and has released a prominent number of records on the likes of Aphex Twin's label Rephlex, 030303, Kvist and more. He has also built a close affiliation with the Icelandic record label bbbbbb upon which he has released an album and several EP's. "Warmwoods" was the latest of these releases and came out on the 20th of September earlier this year. A playful assortment of wandering synths and glitches all tied up by fast paced drum patterns and hardware.

Stian Gjevik is a musician who has a close relationship with insomnia so we invited him to pick tracks which help reflect the mental state associated. These are his choices...
