8 Tracks: Of Filter House With Clubkelly

Music

At long last, Parisian house producer CLUBKELLY returns with a proper follow-up to his 2016 self-titled EP! Out now via Crazylegs (home to Gage, Sega Bodega, Ziro et al.) GLOBAL 93 consists of five new sampledelic filter house bangers, precision tooled for the glorious weather we've been experiencing of late.

Far from a set of lazy lo-fi loops, these tracks showcase CLUBKELLY's meticulous attention to detail and innate understanding of club dynamics, with his sundrenched melodies acting as the glue between generations of French club trax. From Thomas Bangalter to *ahem* Kylie Minogue, check out his 8 Tracks selections below.

Roy Davis Jr. - Rock Shock (Thomas Bangalter's Start-Stop Mix)

  • Roy Davis Jr. - Rock Shock (Thomas Bangalter's Start-Stop Mix)

maybe my fav from Bangalter the sampling and bassline is just perfect

  • Whash - Mantouch

cool french label from 90’s, old house banger, basic efficient even tho i’ve never heard this elsewhere than on my laptop

  • Dj Disciple - Filter Groove

basically it’s like the same loop going on for 7 minutes with a filter closing and opening, it just makes the track very driving while keeping it simple. Dj disciple is explaining the thing while the track plays so …

  • Fellow Man - Like A Cat

I don’t think you can find this one except on vinyl, white label , crazy mad, from Netherland’s BPM Dance, not very « filter » house but too awesome to not share

  • The Floormovers - Floormover

From Los Angeles label Musik Factory, title says it all

  • Kylie Minogue - Please Stay (Hatiras Dreamy Dub Mix)

Kylie Minogue’s Please stay, turned into a festival banger best Kylie’s album btw

  • Mercer - Satisfy (Feat. Ron Carroll) [Malaa Remix]

Well i don’t know nothing about this except Malaa is french and the track been released on Spinnin’ records . Already know some people gonna hates on this one but its just good

  • Billy Lo - You Give Good Love

This one clearly garage vibe, but Billo Lo, aka Sedat the Turkish avenger, i think sedat is not to present (check out if you don’t know) so i wanted to put up this one as the last one
