The Jesus And Mary Chain Announce Uk Tour

Art & Culture

The Jesus and Mary Chain will be touring the UK in 2017 in support of the forthcoming album Damage and Joy.

The band, who reformed in 2007 after an eight year hiatus, will be embarking on a string of dates in England and Ireland in 2017 to coincide with the release of their first album in 18 years.

Last week, the Reid brothers unveiled their first single from the album. ‘Amputation’ sees the Scottish group veering away from the seminal shoegaze stylings of their earlier work into a more stripped back psyche sound. Damage and Joy will be released on March 24th via ADA/Warner Music.

The band is set to play several US dates this month, commencing on the 13th in Athens, Georgia.
