Bristol's Simple Things festival have announced a headliner for their grand finale of 2016; none other than Rennaisance man John Carpenter. Carpenter will be playing live, performing tracks from his back catalogue of classic movie scores, as well as the new material he has been releasing through the Sacred Bones label. With a discography that includes such synth powered masterpieces as Assault on Precinct 13, Halloween, The Fog, Escape From New York and more, Carpenter defined the horror sound of the 80s and 90s, and inspired numerous dance producers - the main theme from Assault on Pricinct 13 formed the back bone of more than a dozen rave hits, and continues to inspire to this day.
Simple Things runs from October 22nd - 23rd, taking place in venues across Bristol. The line up for the rest of the festival is still firmly under wraps. Tickets for this John Carpenter finale will be available separately from www.simplethingsfestival.co.uk from Friday May 6th.
