Futureshock Takes Place At New River Studios This Saturday

Art & Culture

Looking for something to ease you back into the live music scene after a week of post-NYE sobriety? Futureshock is taking place Saturday 13th January at New River Studios in North London, with some great emerging electronic talent on the bill.

Hosted by Edited Arts, a new events series launched last year, Futureshock aims to explore "the relationship between humans and technology through live music performance and multi-media installation."

The lineup contains a whole host of talented artists and performers. British-Iranian composer Shiva Feshareki has performed at Tate Modern and Mutek Festival, and her live turntable performances combine old-school garage and DnB with experimental classical. Structure label owner Shelley Parker's eclectic sets join the dots between hardcore, noise, techno and electro, while Loraine James will be performing an electronica/math rock set accompanied by Louis Shambles' original reactive light system.

Tickets are available here and you can find the full lineup and more information over on the Facebook event page.
