Farr Festival Announces New Plans For Sound Improvements At 2018 Festival

The long standing event has responded to criticism regarding sound at previous editions of the festival. In recent years Farr has come under fire for low volume and lack of definition leaving some attendees disappointed and unimpressed by the detrimental impact on both live performances and dj sets. The festival has announced the following measures in an attempt to resolve the issues and has issued a statement which can be seen below: 

"Since last summer we have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that the sound levels and quality across all stages is improved for everyone coming this year. 

Here's a run down of some of the changes that we have made.

– Increased sound levels at noise sensitive locations off-site from 46db to 50db. This will increase on-site levels with front of house being 96/98db after 23:00.

– Stages 1, 2 and 4 will run End Fire Cardioid Subwoofer Array's, which means less low frequencies behind the bass stacks, which will improve on-site levels.

– On-site mitigation increased using various sound and acoustic treatments – both behind stages and on-stages.

We are all buzzing with our new and improved experience to fully immerse all of you lovely lot in Bygrave Woods this summer."

This year Farr will take place across four days and nights with the festival being programme being extended into Sunday for the very first time. Ransom Note will return to host a stage which includes the likes of Roman Flugel, Young marco and more. Full breakdowns will be announced shortly.
