Two artists affiliated with 100% Silk have been identified as victims of last Friday’s warehouse fire at Oakland’s Ghost Ship. Cherushii and Nackt, real names Chelsea Faith Dolan and Johnny Igaz, had both been scheduled to perform in the venue on the night.

Both artists had released music through the label, including Cherushii’s debut LP Memory Of Water in August of last year. Maria Minerva, another artists on 100% Silk, made a statement via Facebook following the confirmation of Cherushii as one of the victims of the fire. She said: "My life will never be the same. . . You can only imagine how devistated I am."

This news comes as the number of confirmed dead from the blaze in the venue rises to 36, with 35 of those having been identified. Authorities suspect that the fire may have been caused by a faulty refrigerator.

Earlier this week, Ghost Ship’s manager Derick Almena spoke on the Today show. During the interview a visibly shaken Almena apologised for the incident. He said: “I would rather get on the floor and be trampled by the parents. I would rather let them tear at my flesh than answer these ridiculous questions I am so sorry. I’m incredibly sorry.”

The YouCaring fund page set up to provide financial aid to to families of the victims continues to receive mass support from musicians, labels, venues and sports associations globally.
