ikea Pop Up opens in Shoreditch, meatballs galore

Art & Culture

Swedish flat-pack giants IKEA are extending their world domination to a new pop-up in Shoreditch. Dubbed a 'DIY' restaurant, punters will be able to cook their own food and eat it in the kitchen area – a phenomenon enjoyed by many in their own homes.

A professional chef will be on hand to 'supervise' the process, also known as smoking cigarettes out the front, while wannabe cooks attempt to "rediscover the joy of the kitchen", something that's easy to forget when you leave the house for over two hours.

Free of charge and running from the 10th September for three weeks, just book in advance, or grab a crafty meal deal from the tesco down the road.
