Balearic Beat Hotel’s ‘Page Raves’ panel will celebrate Ibiza’s musical and cultural landscape

As part of Beat Hotel’s newest endeavour, Balearic Beat Hotel, indie book brand White Rabbit Books will host ‘Page Raves’: a panel discussion focused on Ibiza’s musical and cultural landscape.

Taking place on Friday 8th October at Hostal La Torre, the talk will see DJ/broadcaster and author of Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, Bill Brewster and author of 2020’s cultural history of Ibiza, Balearic, Christian Len explore the importance of music, culture, art and literacy on the white isle.

Elsewhere the three-day event, which runs from 6-8 October in partnership with Patrón Tequila and Mambo Group, will feature music from Ibiza legend Alfredo, audiophile Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy, Worldwide FM resident Esa, Portuguese digger Mafalda, NTS resident and writer Zakia, Madrid-via-London DJ John Gomez and many more, at two of the island’s most spectacular locations: Hostal La Torre and Cala Gracioneta.

 

A cultural programme sits alongside the musical offerings, and will feature UK journalist Joe Muggs presenting his ‘Ambient Salon’ concept, as well as Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard bringing his “Modular Synth Workout” for the early risers and Ibiza-based wellbeing outfit Cosmic Pineapple offering yoga and morning music healing sessions.

On top of the music, talks and wellbeing programme, the festival will host culinary collaborations with Soho favourite Barrafina at Hostal La Torre and with smoke and fire specialists Berber & Q at Cala Gracioneta. Both venues will feature a menu of Patrón Tequila cocktails including a mix of classic serves and Beat Hotel exclusives.

Beat Hotel started life as a Glastonbury stage before being reimagined as a four-day festival in Marrakech in 2019. Balearic Beat Hotel marks their latest creative endeavour into the world of music, arts, culture and literacy.
