Antony Gormley Exhibition Opens In London

Art & Culture

Taking place at the White Cube Gallery in South East London, Antony Gormley hosts a month long exhibition reflecting upon the upwards expansion of London. Titled "Fits", the exhibition is the artists response to the development of skyscrapers in the city as well as the continued outstretch of London into countryside and land. The aim of the exhibition is to capture the notion of scale. The artist describes this as follows:

“In the last 25 years in London it’s almost like we have been asleep and London has turned into Dallas. London historically is the joining of many villages in this wide Thames valley.”
