3rd BIRTHDAY BONANZA

Friday 14th & Saturday 15th October 2011

Corsica Studios, London, SE17 1LB

On the 14th and 15th of October 2011, Trouble Vision, Corsica Studios genre-smashing in house club-night, celebrates its third birthday. For this special occasion we have well and truly pulled out all the stops and for the 2nd time this year we are proud to present Double Trouble Vision

When we launched in September 2008 we set out to program an unpredictably eclectic party. Three years later we were at a point where our booking policy was simply getting too broad to program an event over a single night so the next logical step was to simply put on a party spanning TWO nights. Back in January we launched this concept with David Rodigan and Theo Parrish headlining each sold out night, and, for our third Birthday were going to do it all over again.

FRIDAY 14th

The name of the game for our Birthday celebration is raw party and in the past we have always tried to book a genuine legend to headline – someone that’s shaped a scene or pioneered a genre. For our first birthday we had original junglist Shy FX. For our 2nd Birthday we had UK Garage originators MJ Cole and Zed Bias and this year we are proud to welcome the God Father of hip hop GRANDMASTER FLASH. This will be the Grandmasters first London club show since 2009 when he headlined Matter, so we warmly welcome him to the top of our bill for what will surely be his most intimate show of the year.

Support in the main room comes from Hoya Hoya front man Krystal Klear who will be bringing his funk infused house to SE17, Rinse FM selector Josey Rebelle  and Numbers signee Redinho will be playing live.

In room 2 the music policy takes a deeper darker tone. Garage come – Dubstep originator Artwork will headline with DRS on mic duties. In support we have three of the most exciting producers to come out of the dubstep/techno scene in recent years – Modeselektor favorites Dark Sky, R&S signee Blawan and last but by no means least, Objekt from Berlin. Room 3 will be handed over to the Silent Disco regulars for the last time.

SATURDAY 15th

On Saturday the bill will take on a somewhat deeper persona as we concentrate on house, techno and disco. For the second time this year we warmly welcome the unbelievably talented Motor City Drum Ensemble to the top of the bill. Having released one of the best compilations of the year (DJ Kicks,) this will be your last chance to see Danillo in 2011. In support in Room 1 were very excited to have FCL [San Soda & Red D] playing an extended set, spanning all areas of house music and beyond. Trust us – these guys know how to get a party going.

In room 2 were very excited to announce that KiNK will be playing a live set. His raw acid tinged take on house and techno promises to fit perfectly within the confines of room 2. Further support comes from Crosstown Rebels signee Subb-An whose thick chunky take on deep house will close proceedings in room 2, while Join The Dots head honcho Duff Disco will be on warm up duties.

And there we have it for our 3rd Birthday – 2 nights, 1 event and what we think is some of the finest dance music around. As always, tickets start at 8 for the early birds so dont delay .
