This weeks comedy slice is donning the wellies as it hits the road and heads outside London for Latitude Festival in sunny Suffolk. Will the slice make it back to the city? Or will it be kidnapped by The Locals?

First up in the comedy arena is Roisin Conaty whose conservational comedy about social akwardnesses and faux pas is an award winning mix. She has snagged Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award 2010 for Best Newcomer, is a Laughing Horse winner,  as well as being an Amused Moose and Funny Women finalist too. Stellar stuff to set you up for the festival funnies.

The young Welshman Matt Rees is another award winning comedian on Latitudes line-up –  apart from the Chortle Student Awards (which is giving out an award) Im pretty sure all the comedians have some title under their belt… Back to Rees, who recently supported Elis James on tour (do the Welsh just stick together?) and formed part of the prestigious Pleasance Reserve at the Edinburgh Fringe 2012. With a steady increase in TV and radio appearances Rees is a rising star that should not be missed.

Canadian comic and actress Katherine Ryan is a recognisable face from 8 Out of Ten Cats and appeared throughout BBCs Episodes as Mercs assistant. Her dark stand up delivered with sweet innocence is a devilishly good formula. Her first nationwide tour earlier this year was a roaring success and yes she has a few awards too
