Watch: Okzharp To Release Debut 12″ Through Hyperdub

Okzharp – aka Gervase Gordon – is a former member of LV, the outfit responsible for giving rising South African rapper OKmalumkoolkat his first major exposure to British audiences via the Boomslang release. Now Gordon is going solo under his Okzharp guise, once more returning to South Africa to seek vocal talent for his debut EP. Dear Ribane, the resultant collaboration with Soweto based singer and performance artist Manthe Ribane is available to watch below. It's a strange and exhillirating blend of kwaito house, RnB, and UK bass pressure – and it would appear that Ribane has the style and voice to be a future star…
