Beverly Glenn-Copeland Reissued On Invisible City Editions

Music

1986 cassette Copeland Keyboard Fantasies by Ontario-based artist Beverly Glenn is to be released on vinyl for the first time ever. Invisible City Editions plan to release the highly sought after collection on the 1st of January next year. The Toronto reissue label just released V.O.'s Mashisa.

Glenn-Copeland is known amongst collectors for two sought-after, Joni Mitchell-esque folky jazz albums. This release, however, was recorded solely using a Yamaha DX7 and Roland TR-707 in the northern Canadian town of Huntsville, with a sound "somewhere between digital new-age and (accidentally) early Detroit techno experiments… The inimitable style of BCG here is both peaceful and meditative whilst simultaneously rhythmic and bass heavy." Listen to excerpts from the album below.
