Ghetts To Perform Ghetto Gospel In Full At The Roundhouse

Art & Culture

As part of the Roundhouse's intimate 'In the Round' series, pioneering grime artist Ghetts is set to perform his 2007 classic Ghetto Gospel in full with a live band, in celebration of its ten year anniversary.

Originally a member of NASTY Crew alongside the likes of Kano and Jammer, the artist then known as Ghetto left to form The Movement with Devlin, Wretch 32 and Scorcher. His 2014 album Rebel With a Cause earned him three MOBO nominations, and more recently he's had huge street hits with 'Peng Tings' and 'You Dun Know Already'.

However, it's Ghetto Gospel that Ghetts has always referred to as his best project. It received little touring at the time, so this feels like the perfect opportunity for him to finally do it justice in a live setting. Fans can look forward to hearing favourites like 'Top 3 Selected' and 'Stage Show Don' alongside songs that have never been performed before.

In the Round takes place 26th Jan – 4th Feb, with other performers including Orchestra Baobab, Jaga Jazzist and Julian Cope. Ghetts is performing on Monday 30th Jan and tickets are available right here.
