Rise of Norwegian dance music charted in new film

Northern Disco Lights tracks a unique story in dance music history. From the people behind Paper Recordings and "Last Shop Standing" comes Northern Disco lights, a film documenting how a small group of friends from the remote Norwegian cities Bergen and Tromsø gave birth to a unique sound that went on to redefine dance msuic as it's known today. The generation of DJs and musicians it inspired have gone on to conquer the world. Amongst others it features Lindstrøm, Annie, Prins Thomas, Bjoørn Torske, Idjut Boys and Bill Brewster.

The film makes its UK premiere on 5th November at Rich Mix, Shoreditch as part of the Doc'n Roll Film Festival, and will be followed by a Q&A sessions with the filmmakers, as well as an afterparty with Bjørn Torske and Mental Overdrive.
